Rory McIlroy didn't have an easy time beating Billy Horschel, he was 2 down with 3 to play but 3 late birdies forced extra holes. Both players made a par at the first but it was Horschel's bogey at the second which was enough to send McIlroy through.
Lee Westwood beat world No2 and Masters Champion Jordan Spieth to set up a final 16 match against an in form Danny Willett. It was an all or nothing match between Spieth and Westwood but two closing birdies took down the Masters champion.
Sergio Garcia will also be making an early exit to the Championship, he did beat Jamie Donaldson 2&1 but it is Tommy Fleetwood who will progresses to the last 16 from the all European group.
Paul Casey has continued his good form this season and has made it to the last 16, his wins set up a final 16 tie with South African Charl Schwartzel.
There was a bit of a disagreement between Miguel Angel Jimenez and Keegan Bradley on their final hole, even tho neither player could make it through an argument about what was deemed as an incorrect drop by Jiminez got things heated. Jiminez seemed unfazed in interviews after the round but it was clearly still on Bradley's mind.
