The European Tour heads to the Portuguese Islands of Madeira tomorrow for the next event in the 2015 calender. There are not many big name stars playing in the event, but there is some good new and young European talent in the field hoping to progress in their career.

Last years event was marred by the sad death of Alastair Forsyht's caddie Ian McGregor, who suffered a heart attack on Sunday. Many said the event should not have continued, but it did with Englishman Daniel Brooks taking the title.

There are some good players in field for the Madeira Islands open but a few we have picked out are Joakim Lagergren, Ricardo Santos, Joachim B Hansen, Justin Walters and Renato Paratore.

As the competition counts for both the European and Challenge tour money list, expect it to be tightly fought as for many aspiring players this will be a chance to progress in their career.

The young Italian Renato Paratore is tipped to be one to watch for the future, the 18 year old qualified for the European tour via Q school this year and went on to win the Italian PGA Championship just a week after gaining his card.
